Cookies
What this site stores in your browser. It is a short list.
Last updated
We use two cookies, both strictly necessary. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking on this site. The only thing we ask permission for is keeping your saved providers in this browser.
The cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
local-agents-session |
Keeps you signed in and remembers form data between pages. Without it you could not stay logged in to a provider account. | When you close your browser, or after a period of inactivity |
XSRF-TOKEN |
A security token that proves a form submission came from this site. It is what stops another website submitting a form on your behalf. | Same as the session |
cookie_consent |
Remembers your answer to the question below, so we stop asking. It records only which categories you allowed, with no identifier and nothing about you. | 12 months |
The first two are strictly necessary: the site cannot function without them, and neither is used to track you or to build a profile of your interests. The third exists only because you answered a question, and would be pointless to ask permission for, since refusing it would mean being asked again on every page.
What we do not use
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, and no similar product.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No social media trackers.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than from a font provider, so loading a page here does not disclose your IP address to a third party.
This is why the banner asks about one thing rather than presenting a list of toggles. Offering you an "analytics" switch that controls nothing would suggest we run analytics, and we do not.
Saved providers, the one thing we ask about
If you tap the heart on a provider to save them, that list is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. We have no record of what you have saved. It stays on the device you saved it on, it does not follow you to another browser, and clearing your browsing data clears it.
It is still storage on your device, so we ask before using it:
- Allow: the heart works and your list survives closing the tab.
- No thanks: nothing is stored. The heart still responds while you are on the page, but the list is not kept, and anything saved before you declined is deleted.
Neither answer changes anything else about the site. There is no wall, no reduced functionality beyond the feature itself, and refusing takes exactly one click, the same as accepting.
When you open your saved providers page, your browser does have to tell us which providers to show you, so that we can render them. We use that only to build the page and do not keep it.
Changing your mind
Use Cookie choice in the footer of any page. That reopens the question rather than answering it for you, and your previous answer is forgotten until you choose again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the two strictly necessary ones will stop you signing in to a provider account and may stop forms submitting, because the security token will be missing.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential cookie, it will be a new category on the banner, switched off by default, and we will ask again. Consent you gave to saved providers is not consent to analytics. We will update this page before it is set, not after. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
